Summary
After the Minister of Education fired the Vancouver School Board, the City of Vancouver Children, Youth and Families Advisory Committee unanimously carried a motion that supported the return of a democratically-elected School Board. We also supported the return of elected Trustees as Special Representatives. As Chair of the Advisory Committee, I spoke at City Council to support Councillor Andrea Reimer’s motion to ask the Province to call an election for the VSB.
